Client Regulations

As of March 2025

  • We serve residents of Hanover, Saluda, and Republican townships. Residents outside the service area may be served one time.

  • Proof of residency required (utility bill, check stub)

  • We can ask for proof of residence for everyone in the car – if two people in the car have the same address, then only one box/sack per household. If two or more people in the car, and each has a different address in the service area, then everyone will be served. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide food for people who are unable to come in person to the pantry

  • The Church or church partners may have flyers of information available but will not place the flyers or pamphlets in bags or boxes.

  • For the safety of our volunteers please do not smoke or vape.

  • In order to get people in and out in a timely manner, please give your attention to our volunteers and do not use your cell phone or other types of screens.

  • For the safety of our volunteers, do not bring your pets with you to the pantry.

HUMC also supports the Gleaners Mobile Food Truck Pantry.  The mobile pantry generally is in Madison on the second Tuesday of the month at the National Guard Armory, 1533 Clifty Dr., from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Poor weather or other issues may change this schedule or location. For more information, go to https://www.gleaners.org/findhelp/

Donations of food and money are always welcomed. Food may be dropped off at the church during regular business hours. Financial donations can be made online under the Giving tab and selecting Food Pantry from the drop down menu, or checks can be sent to the church office with a note that it is for the food pantry.
